Fields of application Torggler CA Poly chemical anchor

In combination with the use of threaded rods, it is used in many construction site situations for fastening medium weight elements, related to light carpentry, where there is a need for rapid commissioning without creating tensions in the support: laying of darkening elements, shutters, windows, doors, air conditioners, fences, antennas, alarm systems, lighting fixtures, advertising signs.

The absence of styrene allows it to be used even indoors . The approval for fixings with anchoring depth varying from 6 to 32 cm allows the user a high flexibility of use, up to twenty times the diameter of the threaded rod. The temperatures of the substrate during installation vary from 0 to +30 ° C.

The certified operating temperatures are within the ranges:
  • from -40 ° C to + 40 ° C with a maximum long-term temperature of 24 ° C;
  • from -40 ° C to + 50 ° C with a maximum long-term temperature of 40 ° C.

Torggler CA Poly chemical anchor processing

  1. Drill the support, in an orthogonal direction, respecting the prescribed drilling diameter and depth; for compact supports the use of a rotary percussion tool is recommended. For perforated supports, in order not to break the internal partitions of the bricks, drill with a simple rotation drill;
  2. Carefully extract the dust or other residual material from the hole using a blower pump or compressed air and a metal brush: a suitable level of cleaning is obtained by performing in sequence at least 4 blows, 4 brushes and 4 blows;
  3. Threaded rods must be clean and free from oil, grease or rust;
  4. For anchors more than 15 cm deep, use an extension for the spout and cut it to size;
  5. For perforated supports, insert the cage (or the mesh plug or the metal stocking) in the hole in order to prevent the resin from subsequently dispersing into the cavities;
  6. If the hole is made on a point where the support is not perforated, for example on the mortar between two bricks, do not use the wire cage and perform the installation as on a compact support;
  7. For the 300 ml cartridge: unscrew the cap, insert the mixer into the slot of the yellow extractor and pull to remove the metal clip closing the bag (for the 400 ml cartridge simply unscrew the cap). Screw the mixer and insert the cartridge into the dedicated gun, using hand and face protection;
  8. Extrude the resin and eliminate the first part of the product that is not perfectly mixed until the resin of a uniform color comes out (generally the first 3-5 full strokes are eliminated). For a lower dispensing effort, store the cartridges at a temperature between 15 and 25 ° C;
  9. In the case of compact support, inject the resin starting from the bottom, filling the hole for about 2/3 and going up with the mixer. In the case of a perforated support, dispense a quantity of resin sufficient to make it come out of the meshes of the cage in an adequate quantity: to increase the seal, increase the quantity of extruded resin so that the bulb doubles;
  10. For a better distribution of the anchor and to allow any air bubbles to escape, insert the bar by screwing it slightly. The release of a slight excess of resin gives the visual certainty that the anchoring is optimal;
  11. Remove the excess resin from the hole either immediately with paper or mechanically with a chisel after hardening;
  12. According to the different temperatures of the substrate, respect the laying and hardening times indicated below before applying the clamping and load;
  13. If the resin inside the mixing spout has hardened, subsequent use will require the use of a new mixer, always taking care to eliminate the first part of the product with an uneven color (see point 8).

Chemical fixing warnings

Do not use the product:
  • for anchoring on holes made with a core drill;
  • on dusty surfaces or surfaces contaminated by oils, release agents, etc;
  • for fastening on completely wet or submerged surfaces;
  • for surface applications (with exposure to UV rays);
  • for making joints in correspondence of cracks / gaps between plates.
