Door Block PosaClima InDoor is a self-expanding wedge that guarantees the mechanical fixing of the door frame, replacing traditional wooden wedges. The wedges are positioned on the upper crosspiece, at the corners of the frame, adapting to joints ranging from 6 to 22 mm thick. They avoid the deformation of the jambs and act as temporary blocking and permanent mechanical fixing of the frame.
Designed for perimeter joints measuring between 6 and 20mm, the PosaClima Door Block wedge avoids deformation of the jambs and acts with a double effect, temporary blocking and permanent mechanical fixing of the frame .
Door Block PosaClima InDoor: fields of application
Door Block is the accessory for blocking the frame of internal pedestrian swing doors in the PosaClima InDoor PREMIUM PLUS installation system.
It replaces and improves the effect generated by wooden wedges, remaining incorporated into the perimeter joint. The wedge, in fact, is installed before filling with the foaming adhesive and therefore constitutes a semi-permanent mechanical retention system, which remains in place generating a continuous thrust effect.
The wedge is compatible with false frames made of any material. Its operation generates a high pressure, comparable to a wooden wedge, and which constitutes the holding force.
At least 2 wedges are used per door, to be positioned at the top, in the crosspiece area, in correspondence with the jambs. You can insert wedges into both sides of the door, both towards the room and towards the corridor; there is no single positioning direction. Operation is guaranteed for a perimeter gap width of between 6 and 20mm.
Door Block PosaClima InDoor: the processing of the door wedge
After positioning the frame already blocked by the Door Frame assembly templates in the compartment, insert the wedge into the upper perimeter joint , between the crosspiece of the frame and the false frame, in correspondence with the jambs.
To create the blocking pressure on the frame, screw the screw with the Torx15 connection clockwise, taking care to dose the screwdriver's torque to approximately half the maximum torque and reaching the block. The use of an impact wrench is not recommended.
Insert the wedge with the external whiskers at the top , so as to create a downward push; in the initial screwing phase, keep the shelf supported by applying a little pressure with your finger.
Wedges can also be used in the lateral joint, at the top, in correspondence with the upper crosspiece. However, it is not recommended to use it in the low lateral gap of the door, where the continuous thrust of the wedge could lead to a reduction in the width of the rebate over time.
ATTENTION : the purpose of the adjustable butterfly wedge is to temporarily block the frame until the foaming adhesive, which is responsible for fixing the frame, is completely dry. Do not secure doors using wedges alone.
