Internal PosaClima FID film for wall joint: stops air and steam
Film for the interior of the PosaClima FID wall
- Stretch and hydrophobic fabric film resistant to tearing to be applied to the connection joints on the wall to stop the diffusion of air and steam.
- Equipped with a self-adhesive side, it can be painted over and plastered over on both sides.
- To be used only on the side facing the internal environment because it is impermeable to vapor.
Widths and Lengths available
- Available width (in millimeters): 75 - 100 - 150
- Available length (in meters): 30
How to use the PosaClima FID film?
For sealing the subframe on the side facing the internal environment . After filling the joint with foam, this film is applied with the self-adhesive side to the subframe and glued to the wall. In this way, the joint will become permanently impermeable to air and steam and will offer excellent results in the event of a Blower Door test. It is the cheapest alternative to the use of internal plaster holder profiles, but it requires more time for application and above all, for a good adhesion, it needs a plastered shoulder.
Suggestions for use Indoor PosaClima FID film
- Clean the surface of the subframe on which the film will be glued;
- Apply the tape with the self-adhesive part on the side of the subframe that will be walled up starting from the bottom;
- Form a slot on the corners which then allows you to turn the film towards the wall;
- Fill the space between the film and the wall with foam;
- Fold the sealing film over the foam and glue it to the wall using MS Powerflex 25 White, creating a double bead of sealant or alternatively a zig zag bead, so that the sealant adheres to a very large surface of the film;
- Do not use the Transparent coloring which is not suitable for this process;
- The film must be plastered within 3 months of its application.
