Blackkote Gold Cimar Liquid Waterproofing Bitumen
Blackkote Gold Cimar is a waterproofing bituminous paste, produced with water, which lends itself to a multitude of uses.
Blackkote Gold Cimar paste is used to
coat and waterproof : walls, roofs, vapor barriers, basins and tanks (not intended to contain drinking water).
Also suitable for
protective coatings for masonry to be buried and for anti-damp coating of external walls.
Blackkote Gold Cimar can be
mixed in all proportions with water, sand and cement.

Cimar , it can be used as a waterproofing agent for any type of substrate, both horizontally and vertically and for gluing insulating panels.
Blackkote Gold Cimar is a water-based product.
Resists water stagnation.
Characteristics of identification of the liquid product
- It looks like a thixotropic paste, impalpable of dark color, dilutable in water;
- It dries quickly forming a glossy film with the characteristic of presenting high impermeability even in the presence of strong stagnation of water;
- Specific weight = 1.2 ± 0.05 Kg / dm3;
- Dry residue = 70 ± 1%;
- Viscosity at 23 ° C * = thixotropic gel;
- VOC content as required by the legislative decree of 27/05/2006 n ° 161: 140 g / l of ready-to-use product;
- VOC content in the product: 10 g / l of ready-to-use product.
How is the Blackkote Gold Cimar waterproofing product applied?
Apply by roller, brush or spray (airless). The equipment can be cleaned immediately after work with water, otherwise with white spirit.
Application support
Blackkote Gold must be applied on dry and clean surfaces, free from dust and free of friable parts. For porous substrates it is recommended to apply a bituminous primer, solvent-based or water-based, ready to use.
Once the primer has dried, the two waterproofing layers of Blackkote Gold will be applied with a total consumption of 2 kg / m2.
Consumption
Consumption depends on the porosity and regularity of the surface to be treated; however it can be estimated at 1 Kg / m2 per coat; two coats are recommended.
Warnings
- Mix thoroughly before use.
- Blackkote Gold in its packaging cannot stand freezing and once frozen it is no longer recoverable.
- Do not apply in adverse weather conditions as the product can be washed away by rainwater.
- Clean tools first with water and then with the most common solvents such as white spirit or trichlorethylene.
- It is a product that contains water, therefore it is sensitive to frost and rain in its packaging.
- Before starting the application it is very important to check the atmospheric conditions to avoid rain on the product just applied.
