The Blacksmith of Modena and the electromagnets
Why do many condominiums in Modena have electromagnets? In the 60s in Modena there was a locksmith who wanted to improve the closing of condominium doors. In fact, many condominium owners complained about the constant maintenance costs. One day the locksmith arrived with a magnet that would solve that annoying problem.
Word of mouth did the rest and to this day Modena maintains this primacy, obviously no longer with simple magnets, but with modern and more effective electromagnets.
