PosaClima Hannoband - Thermo-expanding tape in compressed polyether foam
PosaClima Hannoband 3E is a multifunctional thermo-expanding tape with variable Sd built with internal membranes. The combination of the technical characteristics of the foam and the films guarantees exceptional performance: it is certified for resistance to driving rain with a pressure higher than 1050 Pascal, an airtightness of 0.009 [m3/(h*m*(daPa) 2/3], an acoustic insulation higher than 58 dB and a thermal transmittance λ = 0,0428 W/m*K.
The vapor diffusion coefficient μ varies according to humidity from 7 to 44 m. This means that, as the humidity in the rooms increases, the tape becomes more and more impermeable to the passage of steam, thus preventing the accumulation of humidity inside the knot and the possible formation of condensation. A further feature of Hanno multifunctional tapes is the type of adhesive with which the underside is treated which is applied to a very thin film that is highly impermeable to air and water.

Tips for using Hannoband 3E - 3E UA PosaClima tape?
This tape is able to completely seal the joint when laying in light, thus replacing all the traditional materials used (silicone, polyurethane foam and joint bottom rod). However, for a greater guarantee of tightness against stagnant water, the lower cross member of the frame, in contact with the threshold or with the window sill, must be sealed with Hanno Vitoseal 100.
To have a regular and slow expansion we suggest to pre-cool the belt when working at temperatures above +25°C (with PosaClima CoolBox) while it is useful to preheat the belt to at least 10°C when working at temperatures below 0° c. The complete expansion of the tape depends on the temperature conditions and can be accelerated by wetting it. In case of Blower door test, wait at least 4 weeks before carrying out the test.
Versions of the Hannoband PosaClima tape
There is a narrower (25 to 40mm) version of this tape called 3E UA . The characteristics of the tape are identical to the 3E except for the water tightness certification (which is in any case higher than 600 Pa). Whenever possible, Hannoband 3E UA tape should be inserted into the slot on the frame profile (which is normally already present in aluminum and PVC profiles while it is built in wooden profiles); it is thus possible to place the window at a distance of only 5 mm from the wall or from the counter frame.
In this way the remaining internal crack can be sealed with MS Powerflex 25 and the architraves are saved: thus we will have a more elegant installation at an extremely low cost. The 3E-UA belt must always be used in combination with the BG1 belt positioned at the stop.
