Shoulder for thermal OSB subframe of the CasaClima system
The Termoframe Comfort shoulder is produced with the Oriented Strand Boards (OSB) construction system using 100% conifer flakes.
The 22 mm thick OSB is produced by orienting the flakes in an orderly way: the larger ones are partially oriented lengthwise and positioned on the outer faces, while the smaller sized flakes remain in the center and are partially positioned transversely . With this type of construction the product resembles a plywood of which it imitates strength and non-deformability and thus solves many of the problems associated with the use of solid wood.
To increase strength, rigidity, mechanical seal and water resistance Corà has created a specific panel from which the Comfort shoulders are obtained. Mechanically tested to withstand a strain of over 200 kg for each screw 1.5 cm from the edge.
How to use this shoulder for thermal subframe?
Termoframe Comfort has been designed to be used in the construction of high thermal efficiency counter frames for the installation of modern windows. It can be used for “L” shaped counterframes used in rebated installation, or for the construction of flat counterframes for installation in the opening. Thanks to the availability of the profile in any width starting from mm. 60 adapts to any thickness of the window.
