75% sun protection, metallic silver color
Reflectiv SOL 101 film, with 75% sun protection, is ideal for indoor installation. This film is designed for application on glazing to reduce solar heat and glare. It offers a significant improvement in comfort in rooms exposed to the sun , contributing to real energy savings, particularly when air conditioning is in use. SOL 101 film is only suitable for clear double glazing smaller than 1.20m², clear glass between 4 and 10mm thick and tempered glass.
Composition and resistance of the films
Adhesive solar films are composed of two layers of vacuum metallized polyester , an adhesive and a protective film that is removable during installation. These films are scratch resistant.
Solar factor and greenhouse effect
The solar factor (G) of a glass measures the ratio between the total energy entering a room through the glass and the incident solar energy. This energy includes both the directly transmitted component and the component absorbed and subsequently released by the glass in the form of heat. The greenhouse effect occurs when solar energy, entering through the glass, is absorbed by objects and internal walls which subsequently emit thermal radiation, mainly in the far infrared (over 5 μm). Glass, even if transparent, blocks radiation at wavelengths greater than 5μm, thus trapping heat inside the room . This phenomenon is evident, for example, in a car parked in the sun with the windows closed.

How to install a Reflectiv solar film?
The surface where the film will be applied must be clean of any trace of dust, grease or other impurities. It is important to note that some materials, such as polycarbonate, may cause the formation of bubbles, making it advisable to carry out a preventive compatibility test.
Tools needed for installation include: a water sprayer, a scraper, a cutter, tape, a putty knife, a float and paper towels.
Clean the glass surface carefully;
First cut the film to the desired dimensions;
Apply two pieces of tape to one corner of the film to make handling easier;
Spray the window with water and position the film, holding the adhesive side towards you;
Remove the protective film;
Abundantly moisten the adhesive side of the film;
Turn the film over and apply the adhesive side to the glass surface;
Spray the film to facilitate the sliding of the squeegee on the glass;
Smooth with the spatula to eliminate air bubbles and excess water;
Trim the excess edges using the cutter;
Model again on the glass and clean the edges for a perfect finish.
