Hannoband 2E Plus XL tape that automatically expands to isolate from air and vapor
Hannoband 2E Plus XL multifunctional self-expanding tape with 1 internal air and vapor sealing film . It combines the advantages of self expanding tapes and air and vapor sealing films in one product. Specifically designed for sealing the internal and median part of the joint connecting the window to the subframe. It creates joints with high impermeability to air, vapor and noise.
The tape
has one direction of application : it must always be applied with the light gray part (impermeable to vapor) facing the inside of the house and the dark gray part (permeable to vapor) facing outwards.

Tips for using the Hannoband 2E Plus XL PosaClima tape
- For sealing the internal and median part of the node between the frame and the subframe in the stop installation.
- In complete replacement of the “Polyurethane foam, joint bottom rod and silicone” package .
- It does not require any other internal sealing system and can be directly trimmed.
- It must be used in conjunction with a BG1 belt to be placed on the external stop of the two uprights and the upper transverse.
- On the lower crosspiece, where there is a risk of stagnant water, it is preferable to use the specific Vitoseal 100 tape.
Variations of the Hannoband tape
There is a narrower version of this tape (25 to 40 mm) called 3E UA . The characteristics of the tape are identical to the 3E except for the watertight certification (which is in any case higher than 600 Pa). Whenever possible, the Hannoband 3E UA tape must be inserted in the slot on the frame profile (which is normally already present in the aluminum and PVC profiles while it is built in the wooden profiles); in this way it is possible to install the window at a distance of only 5 mm from the wall or the counterframe.
In this way, the internal gap that remains can be sealed with MS Powerflex 25 and we save the architraves: in this way we will have a more elegant installation at an extremely low cost. The 3E-UA belt must always be used in conjunction with the BG1 belt positioned at the stop.
