Torggler Window & Door Polyurethane Foam 750 ml
One-component
polyurethane foam for filling and assembly, including window frames.
Window & Door Torggler Polyurethane Foam
- Ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation ;
- Ideal for fixing junction boxes / electrical systems;
- Waterproof;
- Up to 45 liters of yield.
Window & Door Torggler, thanks to its dimensional stability and the mechanical properties of the hardened product, is ideal for
gluing, fixing, insulating, soundproofing, sealing and plugging . Furthermore, the predominantly closed uniform cell structure gives the hardened foam thermal insulating and soundproofing characteristics (see test reports Istituto Masini 1016-2008 of 31.03.2008 and IFT 16732059 of 22.09.2006), according to CEI 64-8, art. 511.1.
Strongly adheres to wood, concrete, brick, asbestos cement, metal, glass and plastic with the exception of polyethylene, teflon and silicone. Hardened foam can be cut, drilled, sanded, painted, plastered. The product is certified as EC 1 Plus by the GEV body in terms of very low emissions of volatile organic compounds.
Fields of use Polyurethane Foam Window & Door
- Sealing between window and wall
- Fixing of counter frames for doors and windows
- Car soundproofing
- Pipe insulation
- Filling of interstices between passing pipes and walls
- Ceiling infills of cellular concrete partition walls
- Soundproofing and thermal insulation
Window & Door polyurethane foam can also be used for fixing electrical conduits and junction boxes, having passed the glow wire resistance test at 850 ° C (CEI EN 60695-2-11, certificate available on request).
Instructions for laying polyurethane foam
- The substrates must be free from oil, grease and dust. Moisten before application to ensure that the fresh foam has the necessary moisture to form a uniform cell structure.
- Remove the protective cap from the ring nut and screw it onto the special gun (type T2000 or T500 by Torggler Srl) or, in the case of the manual version, after removing the lid from the cylinder, screw the dispenser with the supplied extension onto the valve.
- Shake the can for at least 15 seconds before use and repeat this operation after any processing intervals.
- Turn the cylinder upside down so that the valve is facing downwards, point the gun barrel / extension tube in the desired direction and press the dispenser with your fingers. The degree of filling of the cavities must be a function of the post-expansion of the foam. In case of low ambient humidity, humidify the curbs immediately after extrusion.
- Complete hardening of the foam is reached about an hour after laying. After this interval, any excess can be cut with a cutter or sanded with sandpaper.
- If the total contents of a cylinder are not used, return it to an upright position and press the regulator for a few moments. The escaping gas will clean the valve and gun / dispenser extension.
Cleaning from Torggler foam
Traces of uncured foam, for example on clothes, tools, etc. they can be cleaned with solvent for polyurethane foam. Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically (by scraping or sanding).
