Thermo-expandable tape in compressed polyether foam , impregnated with water-repellent acrylic resin and with other substances capable of modulating the expansion, specifically designed for sealing the jamb between the window frame and the counter frame.
There are
two types of packaging that differ in length and price: it is advisable to always use the BG1 XL version (ie the packaging with the longest belt) as it is economically more convenient. Hannoband BG1 tape represents the highest quality in terms of thermo-expanding tape to seal the rebate.
How does Hannoband®-BG1-BG1 XL PosaClima insulating tape work?
Hannoband®-BG1-BG1 XL is a universal thermo-expanding tape of the highest quality designed for waterproofing joints in building constructions. The specific fields of application are the sealing of windows on the outside thanks to its resistance to driving rain even with wind pressure> = 600Pa. Hannoband BG1 tape is the only tape on the market to have successfully passed the extremely difficult American "Hurricane Test" reserved for curtain walls: in the test, the BG1 tape withstood driving rain with a pressure of 9000 Pa. Since BG1 tape it is resistant to ultraviolet rays, when used for the formation of the external joint it does not require trimming or over-application of silicone or acrylic sealants.
These window insulation tapes are ideal for:
- seal irregular joints ;
- when you want to have water, air and sound insulation;

Tips for using Hannoband tape
- All tapes are coded with three numbers that indicate measures expressed in millimeters: eg 15 / 3-7;
- The first number (15 mm) indicates the width of the tape;
- The second number (mm 3) indicates the initial thickness of the tape;
- The third number (mm 7) indicates the maximum expansion for which the nominal performance is guaranteed.
